Fathers welcome custody overhaul
Campaigners celebrated today after the government announced a new drive to give more rights for separated fathers to see their children. Families Need Fathers welcomed planned reforms to the family justice system to ensure children enjoy "an ongoing relationship with both parents" following divorce.
Fathers' access rights
Plans to give stronger rights for divorced and separated fathers to see their children are being published by the Justice Secretary today. Grandparents are also expected to see their influence increased in the event of a split as part of reforms of the family justice system.

Fathers get stronger access rights
New rules will be "much clearer that it is vital for children to have an ongoing relationship with both parents", the Department for Education said.
